As the day draws to a close, we will return to the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh City, where we will spend the night. 

Start your day off with an exciting adventure to the world-renowned Cu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels, stretching over an impressive 250 kilometres, hold a significant place in Vietnam's history, particularly during times of war. Originally constructed in 1948 to aid the Viet Minh in their fight for independence against the French, the tunnels gained legendary status during the Vietnam War in the 1960s. They played a crucial role in allowing the Viet Cong, a group of communist guerrillas, to control vast rural areas just a stone's throw away from Ho Chi Minh City, a mere 65 kilometres away.

The intricate tunnel system is a marvel to behold, with its underground hospitals, rooms, kitchens, storage areas, and workspaces. Constructed using a combination of clay and laterite, these tunnels are incredibly durable and stable. In the afternoon, we'll continue our exploration of Ho Chi Minh City, visiting some of its most iconic landmarks. The War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Old Post Office are not only architectural marvels but also hold immense historical significance. These buildings serve as symbols of the city, representing its rich heritage and past struggles.

To immerse ourselves further in the cultural tapestry of Ho Chi Minh City, we'll make our way to Cho Lon, also known as China Town. Here, we'll visit the magnificent Thien Hau Pagoda, a stunning Chinese-style temple located on Nguyen Trai Street. Its intricate design and serene atmosphere make it a must-see attraction.

After a day filled with exploration and discovery, we'll settle in for a restful night in the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh.
