An exciting new trekking trail “Guerrilla Trek” has recently been discovered. The Maoist guerrillas ranging from Beni in Myagdi District, to Rolpa and Rukum further west adopted the trail. However, it is very peaceful now and passes through the villages and Himalayas including the impressive Dhaulagiri (8167m) and the country’s only hunting reserve in Dhorpatan. This trekking gives the opportunity to see routes and hideouts used by the Guerrilla during the conflict from 1996-2006.
